Hi, I'm Jacq...

Wicklow Pilates Studio was founded in May 2004 by Jacqueline Cobbe. Jacqueline started attending Pilates classes in 2002 and found within a short space of time her flexibility had improved, her back pain had improved, and she had a leaner physique compared to when working out at the gym.

Jacqueline is a Fully Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor. (Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair , Barrels, Total Barre®, ISP (Injury & Special Populations Course), a certified member of the PMA (the Pilates Method Alliance), I.T.E.C. and IGGP (the International Guild of Professional Practitioners).

Jacqueline has a special interest in Post Rehabilitation Pilates (teaching clients post injury and post physio treatment to aid their recovery and rehab ) and in Equestrian Pilates – Helping riders achieve better balance, better harmony, and less back / hip or shoulder pain when riding their horses.

More about my approach...

Advancing Clinical Expertise in Bone Health & Rehabilitation

At Wicklow Pilates Studio, my approach has always been rooted in helping clients move better, feel stronger, and stay active for life. I’m delighted to share that I’ve recently completed further professional training in Osteoporosis & Bone Health, alongside attending an advanced workshop in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and post-treatment protocols.

These qualifications deepen my ability to support clients with more complex needs, particularly those navigating bone density loss, injury recovery, or returning to exercise after medical treatment.

Specialist Training in Osteoporosis & Bone Health

With osteoporosis and osteopenia becoming increasingly common—especially in active women and aging populations—this certification allows me to:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based Pilates programming for low bone density

  • Help clients build strength, improve balance, and reduce fracture risk

  • Adapt exercises to protect vulnerable areas such as the spine, hips, and wrists

  • Support long-term bone health through intelligent loading and movement strategies

This means clients can feel confident they are exercising in a way that is both effective and clinically appropriate.

Breast Cancer Rehabilitation & Return to Movement

I’ve also completed advanced training in breast cancer rehabilitation, focusing on safe and progressive return to movement following surgery and treatment.

This includes:

  • Understanding post-surgical considerations (including mastectomy and reconstruction)

  • Supporting recovery of shoulder mobility, strength, and posture

  • Working safely with lymphatic considerations and fatigue management

  • Rebuilding confidence in the body through graded, supportive exercise

This area of work is incredibly important to me, and I am committed to creating a safe, informed, and empowering environment for clients at every stage of recovery.

A Clinical Pilates Approach to Active Aging

These new qualifications further strengthen my focus on clinical Pilates—a method that bridges rehabilitation and fitness.

Whether you are:

  • Managing an injury

  • Recovering from surgery

  • Living with osteoporosis

  • Returning to exercise after illness

  • Or simply wanting to stay strong and independent as you age

My goal is to provide individualised, intelligent programming that meets you where you are—and helps you move forward with confidence.

Committed to Ongoing Learning

Continued education is central to my work. By staying up to date with the latest research and clinical practices, I ensure that every client benefits from safe, effective, and modern Pilates instruction.
